great footage on the snow, those runs look so familiar. I can't go there without taking time to walk over the back of the run ( within the boundary) and having 5 minutes . listening to nothing other than currawongs and looking out over the main range.

I think that the diesel is probably the main problem as it gels, maybe try and heat the tank somehow.

But then things seem to work out in the end. Sounds like you may have glow plug issues if it wanted to start when the engine bay warmed up. Just a guess.
That was a strange issue with your car I get better economy from my ranger when the weather temp is over 20C and my pervious diesel a Pajero 2010 ran better when the weather was cooler. My guess is the way the cars are tuned, only a guess.

Of course Id seen the fb ones you posted at the time. 2 questions, why did you think youd have a gas issue on a 5 day trip and are you carrying a portable solar panel for when youre in a shaded area?
