As someone who has studied these civilizations in detail, I can confirm that while the people of India, pakistan and Afghanistan, all share the genetic continuity with this civilization, the cultural continuity of this civilization goes to India and Hinduism. The hieroglyphics and seals have Shiva, a Hindu God, as their deity who also sits in a yoga pose. Also, islamic republic of pakistan was born in the 1940s as a result of the partition of India. Before that the entire subcontinent was known as India only, all over the world. This is known history. Also, at that time, there was no islam, let alone islamic republic of pakistan. Also, there are several other evidences of this civilization being Hindu. There is literally no claim any pakistani could make on it. While India, the name itself comes from the river Indus and was used by the greeks and Persians to denote this area and the people. You can ask anyone who has studied these subjects, or watch any video of any expert anywhere in the world, they all agree that this was an Indian civilization.

I was reading a Highway engineering book, there are some descriptions about ancient roads. But i haven't found any IVC roads. If mohenjo daro was that much developed then there may be ancient roads too. And no they would be well engineered roads as per my opinion.
